How We Handle Insulation Jobs Around Greenwood
Spray Foam Insulation Greenwood air seals and insulates houses, attached and detached garages, pole barns and shops in Greenwood, Franklin, Whiteland, Bargersville and the rest of Johnson County, plus Southport, Beech Grove and the nearby towns in Morgan, Shelby and Bartholomew counties. We spray open-cell and closed-cell foam, seal and top up attics, close and insulate crawl spaces, foam rim joists and basement walls, insulate walls in older and newer homes, and blow cellulose or fiberglass where loose fill is the better buy.
Nothing gets priced until we have looked. On a visit we climb into the attic, check the crawl space or basement, and walk any garage, bonus room or outbuilding on your list. We measure the insulation that is already there and note whether it is matted, wet or missing. Then we hunt for the leaks that cost the most in a central Indiana house: the attic hatch, plumbing and flue chases, can lights, top plates, open crawl space vents and the band of framing that sits on the foundation. We also point out anything insulation should never hide, such as a roof leak, a bath fan dumping into the attic, damp framing, rodent damage or old vermiculite.
After that we tell you what we would do, area by area, and why. Spray foam is not always the answer. On a wide, open attic floor, sealing the gaps and then blowing loose fill usually reaches the same R-value for less. Foam pays for itself on rim joists, crawl space and basement walls, cathedral ceilings, kneewalls and metal buildings. When two methods would both work, the quote shows both so you can choose.
How a job runs
- We look first. Every price is based on a measured visit, not a phone guess.
- Everything is written. The quote lists material, thickness or depth, target R-value and price for each area.
- Seal, then insulate. Leaks are closed before insulation goes on top of them.
- Protect the house. We cover floors and belongings, mask the work area and ventilate it during and after spraying.
- Respect the weather. Foam has temperature limits, so unheated barns and cold attics are scheduled with that in mind.
- Clean up. Trimmings, bags and old material leave with us.
